Science Enrichment 8th Period
This course is designed to provide enrichment activities geared towards Science, Engineering and Technology. Students will work in collaborative groups utilizing the Scientific Method and the Engineering Design Process to inquire and solve problems. There will be an end product which students must present before the class highlighting the steps taken, processes used and resolution. Some project management tools will be provided as an added feature.

Project Subtitle
As Engineers, you have been hired by Habitat for Humanities to design and build a prototype of a Passive Solar House that can withstand a catastrophic event such as a hurricane. Students will utilize household items to build the prototype. They will test their home to determine if it meets all the requirements.
Students will use the Engineering Design Process to plan and design their project. Please see Canvas for more details.
